Nicolas Crivelli
Brief Biography
Hailing from Buenos Aires, Argentina, I have long been fascinated by mechanical engineering and technological advancements. Growing up in my father’s workshop during the dynamic Formula 1 era of the '80s and '90s, I developed a profound interest in motor racing and its associated adrenaline. My enthusiasm for materials science and my drive to explore the limits of human creativity have consistently guided my professional journey.

My career commenced with The Illinois Institute of Technology's Formula SAE team, IIT Motorsports, where I progressed to a leadership role within the composites division. This role provided me with extensive experience in team management, budget analysis, vehicle dynamics, project management, and theoretical structural analysis, while also enhancing my ability to engineer safe and reliable products. The process of bringing concepts to fruition significantly expanded my engineering expertise.

Aspiring to design high-performance racing cars, I secured a position as a design engineer at Dallara LLC in Indianapolis, Indiana. My responsibilities were diverse, encompassing the design of components for the 2012 IndyCar and the 2015 Indy Lights, as well as serving as the engineering manager for a prominent aerospace client advancing space exploration. In 2016, I had the privilege of working in Varano de' Melegari, Italy, where I supported the design of tooling components for the 2017 LMP2 WEC and Cadillac DPi. This experience, enhanced by my use of Creo Parametric and mentorship from a seasoned professional, allowed me to further refine my technical skills. My focus extended to tooling board and composite tooling design, including the creation of ply books and lamination schedules. In 2018, I had another international opportunity, working on the lamination of the F1 chassis and T-Tray for Haas's 2019 Formula 1 car, an experience that significantly enriched my professional growth.

Collaborating with trailblazers and innovators in engineering is an exhilarating endeavor that I view as both an art and a lifelong pursuit. My passion for this field drives me to work with motivated individuals who are committed to exploring new frontiers. Building meaningful relationships, investing in team development, and fostering collaborative efforts are central to my professional ethos. I am confident in my ability to contribute meaningfully to any organization at the cutting edge of technology.
